O.K. Bare with me, I’m going to try to get through this with out making any silly puns, I want to get to the bottom of this promotion without exposing myself to accusations of sensationalism or making unnecessarily cheeky sexist remarks.
This is obviously a thoroughly researched piece of legitimate promotion that merely seeks to advertise its brand in a tasteful and sophisticated manner.
As frequent readers of this site will know, the formula for all successful Advertising is A.I.D.A. (no not the opera, c’mon stop peeking at the picture and concentrate)
A.I.D.A. stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.
It’s the components, and the order they must be in, that all effective Advertising must contain.
So lets test the picture above:
Does it grab your ATTENTION?
Um, now let me think, yes, I would have to admit I did notice it.
Does it create INTEREST?
Yeah I’m interested!
Does it create DESIRE?
Does uncontrolled heavy breathing count as a yes?
Does it call you to ACTION?
Oh c’mon, be serious, I’m a happily married father!!! besides this all getting very personal…
O.K. according to all proven Advertising theory this is an effective promotion, and everyone who attended the Grand Prix, will graphically remember these delightful young ladies…
The product? What were they Advertising? Who knows, who cares. But I am prepared to selflessly dedicate myself to investigate it further, well at least until my wife finds out.
